Yes they have to shoe out here as there is some very rocky country, had a guy here the other day and he has invented plastic shoes, they out last the metal shoes and are very light and you can bend them to shape, I was amazed that plastic can be that strong. He came up with the idea with his wife’s cutting up board.

I thought the plastic shoes were a joke but now I think how light they would be, he has only just started marketing them.And yes I think the traditional guys arent impressed.

I visited Bullo River station a while ago. It’s great to see this sort of thing in real life.

Horseshoeing is sort of a lost art. And, finding a good blacksmith and farrier is not easy.
